Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend the Art Gallery of Algoma's opening reception of the Indigenous Voices Exhibition. It had an excellent turnout, and was overall a fantastic event showcasing local Indigenous youth artists. The exhibit is up until December and I highly recommend stopping by the Gallery to see it.

Truth and Reconciliation does not merely exist within a 24-hour window. We should all strive to be better neighbours, friends, colleagues and allies everyday. I encourage you to commit yourself to learning and approach that learning with curiosity rather than judgement. I think you will find, as I have, that the Indigenous Ways of Knowing reflect a beautiful and holistic approach to how we interact with the natural world and with each other.

Here are some books that I have personally read over the last couple of years that I really enjoyed, and maybe you will to! If you have a book recommendation to add, please add it in the comments.

You Are the Medicine by Asha Frost
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
The Hollow Tree by Herb Nabigon
Raised Somewhere Else by Colleen Cardinal

Cam and I just got back from a fun filled trip to Victoria, BC to meet up for the second year with my incredible PreferredAgent™ family!

It's genuinely an honour to be a part of a group with so many insanely talented, kind and knowledgeable professionals. It's never a dull moment when any of the gang is together.

From the 18th to the 22nd, Cam and I got to see several humpback whales in the harbour, hold and fly raptor birds in the Cowichan Valley, golf at the Olympic View golf course and spend some time with my business colleagues at some fabulous restaurants.

It was a great reset - now I'm back and ready to tackle this fall market with fresh perspective, feeling more rejuvenated.

Until Kelowna 2027!

I'm so, so SO excited that one of my dearest friends and her family have firmed up on their forever home today! You guys are so deserving of all of the crazy happy memories that will be made here for many, many years to come.

We saw this beauty the day it was listed and it was love at first sight. A couple of hours and an aggressive offer later, we were under contract.

Happy Friday! I love my job 🥰

What do you and this riverside estate have in common?

Well, for starters, you both have a great personality.

You’re warm and inviting, with a certain charm that makes people want to stay a little longer. You appreciate a beautiful view, know how to make a memorable first impression, and have plenty of stories to tell.

But good looks and personality aren’t everything. Beneath all that charm, you both have a strong backbone; the kind that stands the test of time. This home was thoughtfully built, lovingly maintained, and cared for through every chapter of its story. It has strong bones, enduring character, and a quiet confidence that never needs to show off.

Set along the river, it’s equal parts strength and serenity: solid where it matters, beautiful from every angle, and ready for whatever comes next.

Come to think of it, you two might be perfect for each other.

Offered at $899,900 this home provides 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a double-attached garage, gas forced air heating + central air, 0.91 acres leading to your own dock and boat launch and fully serviced with municipal water and sewer.

Ready to meet your match? Come experience this riverside estate in person and see if it feels as much like home as I think it will. Send me a message to book your private showing.
