Seniors’ advocacy has always been very near and dear to my heart, which is why I’m proud to share the upcoming White Rock/Surrey Chapter AGM on September 16.

You don’t need to be retired to benefit from CARP. Our events are also valuable for families caring for ageing loved ones—and for anyone beginning to think about their own future needs.
This year’s AGM will feature an informative discussion about the medicinal use of cannabis for older adults and seniors. Semiahmoo Canna Store will share information about tinctures and other options while helping to dispel some of the common myths surrounding medicinal cannabis.
It will be an intimate and welcoming event with plenty of opportunity for questions. We’re also delighted that White Rock Mayor Megan Knight will be joining us! 🙂
A special shout-out to The Morrison Café+Kitchen+Bar for providing the sandwich platters and to Semiahmoo Canna Store for sharing its knowledge with our community.

Today, our Suncrest residents, families and friends gathered for a very meaningful Butterfly Release in support of the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation 🦋
Each butterfly was released in remembrance of someone special. Watching them take flight brought feelings of love, hope and connection—and created a quiet space for us to reflect on the people who have touched our lives.
This event was especially personal for me, as I released a butterfly in memory of my Dad, who passed a year ago. It was an emotional but beautiful moment. Grief stays with us because love stays with us, and finding meaningful ways to honour those we miss can bring comfort and healing.
Supporting our local hospital made the occasion even more special. Peace Arch Hospital has cared for so many people and families in our community during some of their most vulnerable moments. Coming together to raise funds was a meaningful way to honour our loved ones while helping ensure compassionate care remains available for others when they need it most.
We were honoured to present a cheque representing the funds raised for the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation. Thank you to everyone who donated, participated and helped create such a heartfelt afternoon of remembrance, connection and hope.
At Suncrest, we believe these moments matter. They give our residents and families opportunities to remember, reflect and feel supported—together.
Today, we released butterflies, but we held tightly to the love and memories they represented. 💛🦋

There is something truly rewarding about doing a little extra to make our residents smile.

Last Thursday, we gathered for our Summer BBQ at Suncrest—a wonderful afternoon filled with delicious food, laughter and connection. Seeing the smiles on our residents’ faces was a beautiful reminder that these shared moments are what make a community feel like home.

Chef Randy prepared an incredible summer feast, including prawn and chicken skewers, hamburgers with his signature sauces, fresh Mediterranean and Greek salads, and, of course, some irresistible desserts!

Creating meaningful experiences and helping seniors live full, connected lives is such a privilege. These are the memories that matter—the ones we create together. 💛

💜 Happy Seniors Week!
We are so fortunate to live in a community that values and supports its seniors. This week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the contributions, wisdom, and resilience of older adults who help make White Rock and South Surrey such a special place to call home.

This past weekend, I was proud to walk with Team Suncrest at the Alzheimer’s Walk 🚶‍♀️💜. Alzheimer’s and dementia have touched my own family, making this cause especially meaningful to me. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to raise awareness, show support, and walk for those affected.

Did you know that nearly 37% of White Rock and South Surrey residents are seniors? As our community continues to grow, it’s more important than ever to ensure seniors have access to the housing, programs, services, and resources they need to age well, stay connected, and thrive.

Whether through my work as a REALTOR® helping seniors navigate downsizing and housing transitions 🏡, my role at Suncrest Retirement Community, or my involvement with CARP and the Seniors Planning Table, I am passionate about supporting and advocating for older adults in our community.

What an incredible time at the Peace Arch Curling Club Bonspiel! 🥌✨

It was truly an honour for Suncrest to be a sponsor of such a fantastic event. We love supporting opportunities where seniors are staying active, engaged, and connected—and this event brought all of that to life in the best way. 💛

The energy, camaraderie, and spirit throughout the event were so inspiring to see. And the banquet dinner… WOW! 🎉 The creativity was next level—every team fully embraced the rock theme with amazing costumes. It made the evening so much fun and truly unforgettable! 🤘🎭

Being part of events like this is exactly why community means so much to me. In my role at Suncrest, as a local Realtor, and as a board member with CARP, I’m passionate about helping seniors stay connected, active, and informed.
