2026 certainly wasn't our best summer. What started out as arthritis or a pitched nerve ended up being osteosarcoma. When we first received the news, with a dog as old as Arthur, treatment options were likely as bad as the disease. Sadly I was just focused on making his remaining time comfortable, thankfully my wife Ally Forsey knew he was much stronger and more resilient than I gave him credit for.
From walking out of his amputation, to sneaking away and running up the stairs 3 days post op. His recovery has been inspiring to watch. He starts his 15-20 week treatment protocol tomorrow, after watching him excel without his leg we know he is going to handle the next phase with the same stubbornness and determination he always has.
