An overdue post for our May Community Meal

Sillke and Carl from Alley Cat Café served generous portions of lasagna, salad, and broccoli soup to our guests. Beyond the café, Alley Cat Café has helped more than 520 cats find loving homes in the Stratford community, a reflection of the care they bring to everything they do.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped organize, prepare, and serve the meal. These evenings are made possible by people who continue to show up for one another.

Flowing Futures is officially kicked off! Thanks to all who joined our launch last Thursday.

We are calling for all artists, students, designers, environmental thinkers, and community members to submit ideas to reimagine Stratford’s Avon River.

Submissions could be made in any creative format—from ecological design concepts and public art proposals to storytelling, digital media, models, sound works, or performance-based ideas.

Selected works will be featured in a public exhibition across Stratford from October 1–17, with installations and displays at Copperlight (Knox Church), Our Stōr(y), and along the Avon River pathway. A multidisciplinary jury will select projects for exhibition, and visitors will also be invited to vote for a People’s Choice Award.

🍽✨ The meatloaf, the mashed potatoes, the minestrone… the food just kept coming!

A huge thank you to Bentley's Bar, Inn & Restaurant for joining us on their busiest day and serving up a generous meal that was enjoyed by all at our Community Dinner at Copperlight.

It was a wonderful evening of great food and even better company. ❤️

Builders Block moving forward — CN appeal withdrawn!

The appeal filed by Canadian National Railway through the Ontario Land Tribunal has been resolved through a negotiated settlement. The project can now move ahead as planned.

The agreement includes building and site enhancements to mitigate sound from the nearby rail corridor. These updates remain within the scope of the zoning originally approved by city Council.

Builders Block will bring over 300 new residences to Stratford as part of a thoughtfully designed redevelopment that preserves the historic Krug building while introducing new residential spaces.

Our team can now finalize the detailed site plan and submit it to the City of Stratford for approval, a key step towards receiving building permits and beginning construction.

We appreciate the collaborative effort that helped bring this process to a close and look forward to continuing the work ahead.
