In just four weeks, communities across Canada will come together for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation Night Light Walk presented by TD.

💛 Earlier this year, we proudly made a $10,000 gift to our partner at the to fund the distribution of an online learning course to shelter organizations across Canada. This investment was meant to help frontline staff — many of whom support Indigenous women and families — have access to a culturally relevant, trauma-informed training resource they could not otherwise afford.

👏 And now, we're thrilled to share the impact of this gift! With the support of our donors, 100 people across 10 organizations have deepened their understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and healing. We hope our community takes pride in investing in the people who hold spaces of safety every day and in deepening reconciliation through learning.

🕯 Today we mourn the loss of another woman killed in a senseless act of intimate partner violence.

This Tuesday, emergency crews were called to a home in London, ON where they found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was taken to hospital by paramedics, where she later died. Police have charged her intimate partner with second-degree murder. Neighbours said the pair were married with two young children, and lived with the woman's mother. Some said they saw the children and their grandmother frantically exit the home before police arrived Tuesday night.
