Market Snapshot – September 2026:

The September numbers are in, and there are some encouraging signs that Toronto’s real estate market may be starting to turn a corner.

While both new listings and sales remain lower than this time last year, the market is showing signs of finding its footing as we move into the fall. For buyers and sellers, understanding the local market and pricing correctly continues to be key.

The Toronto market remained relatively steady in August, with some modest changes compared to this time last year.

With fewer new listings coming onto the market and sales holding fairly steady year over year, buyers and sellers continue to navigate a market that requires thoughtful pricing and strategy.

Market Snapshot July 2026: The Toronto real estate market continues to show signs of balance and opportunity. While the average selling price sits just over $1 million, down slightly from this time last year, the number of sales has increased, indicating that buyers are becoming more active as borrowing costs continue to improve.

One of the most notable shifts is inventory. New listings are down more than 17% year-over-year, giving sellers less competition than we've seen in recent months. At the same time, homes are taking an average of 32 days to sell, reinforcing the importance of proper pricing and strategic marketing.

For buyers, lower interest rates are helping improve affordability and confidence. For sellers, reduced inventory and steady buyer activity create an environment where well-prepared homes can still achieve strong results.

While the average selling price is down 4.53% compared to last year, the number of homes sold increased by 5.35%, showing that buyers are becoming more active. At the same time, new listings declined by 13.57%, giving buyers fewer options and creating more competition for well-priced homes.
