Thanksgiving looks a little different for us this year. Just the two of us, away on vacation, slowing down and taking it all in.

The older I get, the more I realize how much there is to be grateful for, and how much of it comes down to who you get to share this life with.

The kids grow up, families grow and change and one day, it’s just the two of you again.

I think there’s something really beautiful about that. About finding your person, building a life together, weathering the hard seasons, laughing through the chaos, and still choosing each other through it all.

So this Thanksgiving, I’m especially grateful for him. For the life we’ve built, the life still ahead of us, and the privilege of getting to do it all with my best friend. 🖤

September, you kept me busy. 😂

I moved my son to college, sold three homes, started a rather large home renovation, squeezed in plenty of showings and client meetings, and somehow still found time to check out a few new local spots.

Real estate keeps me moving, and honestly, I love that part of it. I get to know this community really well, discover what’s new, find the good coffee and food, and have a running list of places to send my clients when they ask where they should go.

September is a good time to give your home a little seasonal reset. 🍂

Before the weather gets cooler and the holidays start rolling in, take a few minutes to check the things that are easy to put off, like changing your HVAC filter, cleaning the gutters, testing your smoke alarms, checking for drafts, and getting your outdoor spaces ready for fall.

You don’t have to tackle everything at once. Save this post and work through the list as you have time.

One more set of keys officially handed over as my friends let go of the home that built their family ❤️

The story of how we met is so fun and the friendship that has transpired along the way is incredibly special to me.
Seeing each other in Metro all those years ago and both noting we looked similar to each other is only solidified but your oldest child making that statement about this photo 🤣 I always knew we were going to be friends 😏

Thank you both for trusting me to be part of such a big transition. I’m so excited to see what this next chapter brings for you and your family!

Honestly, I’ve never really been good at the whole “salesperson” thing.

I don’t want to chase people, convince people, or constantly feel like I need to be selling something.

I just want to do a good job, take care of my clients, and be someone people actually want to send their friends and family to.

Someone you actually want to spend your time with during a huge decision.

Turns out, being yourself and doing things your own way isn’t such a bad way to build a business. 🤙🏻

Another happy set of first time home buyers 👏🏡👫

Today they got the keys to their very own home…and that is truly something to be proud of.

Getting to know these guys throughout their buying journey has been nothing short of amazing. They absolutely rocked at:

Communication ✔️
Organization ✔️
Efficiency ✔️

And those things really matter to me as an agent. When my clients communicate well, stay organized and trust the process, it makes such a difference in the overall transaction.

I am so incredibly happy for these two. I know they are about to make some pretty great memories in a great neighbourhood (because they’re surrounded by my family 😝), and I genuinely cannot wait to see how they make Linton Park their own.

If I were buying my first home in Quinte today, these are the things I’d focus on first. 🏡

A lot of first-time buyers spend months thinking about things like paint colors and layouts, but those decisions come later.

I’d make sure I understood the full cost of buying, get pre-approved before touring homes, choose the right neighborhood, and never skip the inspection. I’d also leave some money in the bank after closing because every home comes with a few surprises.

August always seems to go by faster than I expect. 🏖️

This month was full of showings, exploring different neighbourhoods, finding a few new favourite local spots, and spending a lot of time out and about in Quinte.

I love this job because every week looks a little different, and I get to experience this city through the eyes of the people who are excited to call it home.
