🌧️ Rain Warning for Nova Scotia

Heavy rain and strong winds are expected across the province tonight, with 20–60 mm of rain and wind gusts up to 80 km/h.

With warmer temperatures melting the remaining snow, this could mean extra water around homes and buildings and an increased risk of flooding.

A quick check around your property tonight can help prevent problems:

✔ Make sure downspouts are clear of snow and ice
✔ Clear drains and nearby catch basins
✔ Move snow away from your foundation where possible
✔ Check that your sump pump is working

Stay safe tonight! And if water does find its way inside, LIBCAN Restoration is ready to help.

It was a fantastic evening connecting with so many industry professionals, both new faces and familiar ones. It’s always great to see our industry come together to celebrate, network, and strengthen those relationships.

153,482.50 raised this giving Tuesday for the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Foundation

The team at LIBCAN is honoured to be apart of this amazing fundraiser and it's great seeing the community rally together and break records year after year.

Thank you to the outstanding team at the foundation for putting this together, your work is what makes this all happen.

What a Giving Tuesday. What a Community. What a Team. 💚

This Giving Tuesday has been nothing short of extraordinary — and it happened because our entire community showed up.

It began with the incredible leadership of our Matching Partners:
Kohltech Windows & Entrance Systems Stacked Pancakes & Breakfast House Truro LIBCAN Properties & Restoration Wilsons Heating MacQuarries Pharmasave & Home Health Care Centre and BMO Financial Group who came together to match donations up to $40,000 and ignite the first spark of generosity.

Then, local businessman Stu Rath stepped forward with a powerful $10,000 challenge, calling on another local business to match him.

Jeff & Erin Deuville of Deuville Electric answered that call immediately — and their leadership set off a wave.
One by one, so many local businesses stepped forward and joined in giving..
And then the momentum spread to families, individuals, longtime supporters, and first-time donors who all added their gifts to the growing effort.

This campaign became a true community team effort — the kind of generosity that makes our region so special.
