The hot take isn’t that Realtors are useless. It’s that “Realtor” tells you surprisingly little about the person you’re hiring.
Same license…Very different backgrounds, experience, standards, processes and skill sets.
The difference matters extensively when the person you choose is helping you navigate one of the biggest financial decisions you’ll make.
Today, we still largely choose professionals through referrals, Google searches, interviews and gut feel, but what if finding the right person for you could be a little more intelligent than that?
Your goals. Your financial position. Your priorities. Their actual expertise and experience.
Because the question shouldn’t just be: “Do I know a good Realtor?”
It should be: “Who is the right Realtor for this decision?”
The license gets you in the room. What you bring into the room is another story. 👀
