Ryan Goodman, Aryze’s co-founder, was a beloved father, husband, brother, son, grandson, and friend to many. Next year marks five years since we lost him—and while we continue to grieve the loss of this remarkable human, we carry forward the spark, creativity, and originality that were entirely his own.
Ryan never did things the expected way. He saw possibilities where others didn’t, and he championed the people around him to think bigger, bolder, and a little differently. That’s why we’re proud to share that we’re honouring his spirit with a memorial scholarship rooted in Aryze’s own origin story.
Nearly ten years ago, Ryan and Matty enrolled in the Master’s Certificate in Project Management at UVic’s Gustavson School of Business—looking for the skills to get Aryze off the ground. A lot of what Aryze is today started in that classroom, as it’s also where they met Katherine Davies, now a fellow Principal at Aryze.
In 2027, we’re honoured to launch the Ryan Goodman Memorial Scholarship in partnership with UVic Gustavson. It will be offered through the Master’s Certificate in Project Management—the same program where Ryan, Matty and Katherine first met in 2018.
The scholarship will cover tuition for one MCPM participant who is innovative, a little unconventional and genuinely themselves. The kind of person Ryan always was—and always believed in.
