This month, we take a moment to recognize the many individuals, families, friends, caregivers, and communities whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.

Every experience is different. For some, this month represents hope. For others, it may bring reflection, difficult memories, uncertainty, or remembrance.

We honour those currently facing breast cancer, those navigating life during and after treatment, and those we have lost. We also recognize the loved ones, caregivers, healthcare professionals, researchers, and support networks who walk alongside them.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to encourage greater awareness, meaningful support, and compassion for everyone affected.

🏡 VICTORIA REAL ESTATE MARKET UPDATE | SEPTEMBER 2026

September brought a noticeable shift to the Greater Victoria real estate market. Sales slowed, inventory increased, and VREB reported that the numbers moved into buyer’s-market territory.

But there’s an important point to remember: one month does not make a trend. Market conditions can change quickly, and September looked quite different from July and August.

📊 SEPTEMBER AT A GLANCE

🏠 463 properties sold
📉 Sales down 16.4% from September 2025
📉 Sales down 21.7% from August
📋 3,811 active listings
📈 Inventory up 4.1% from August

Victoria Core Benchmark Prices:

🏡 Single Family Home: $1,280,100, down 2% year over year
🏢 Condo: $547,800, up 1% year over year

🔑 FOR BUYERS

More inventory means more selection, more time to compare properties, and potentially more room to negotiate price, dates, and conditions. Getting fully pre-approved and discussing rate-hold options with your lender can help you prepare before finding the right property.
