The latest numbers are in for the Victoria Real Estate Board region — and they tell an interesting story!

• 617 properties sold in October, down 5.7% from this time last year.
• 3,423 active listings at month’s end — that’s 7.3% fewer than September but 8.3% more than a year ago.
• Benchmark price for a single-family home in the Victoria Core was $1,276,500, a 1.8% dip from last October.

SEPTEMBER MARKET STATS ARE OUT!

“September was another stable month for local real estate," said 2025 Victoria Real Estate Board Chair Dirk VanderWal. "Stability is a good thing; we don’t want to see huge fluctuations in price or number of sales in our market.”

Here’s a little breakdown:

●September’s sales were 3% fewer than a year before.
â—ŹThere were 9.9% more homes listed than the previous year.
â—ŹThe benchmark price for a single-family home was $1,279,700.

AUGUST MARKET STATS ARE OUT!

"August was a quiet but steady month," said 2025 Victoria Real Estate Board Chair Dirk VanderWal. "Typical of what we'd expect for the time of year, the late summer month saw fewer sales and a small decrease in the available listings. Many people shift focus to vacations and back to school preparation in August. Home buying, selling, and moving projects are often put on hold until fall. Some sellers use the month to prepare their home for listing in the busier fall market."

Here’s a little breakdown:

- August's sales were 3.7% less than a year before.
- There were 12.8% more homes listed than the previous year.
- The benchmark price for a single-family home was $1,308,100
