Fresh restock alert! We just got back from a trip to Ucluelet and made a stop at the amazing headquarters to pick up a fresh supply of eco-friendly goodies for our guests. We believe in keeping things local, clean, and gentle on both our guests and the planet. That’s why we’ve stocked the property with Mint’s incredible all-natural line:
✨ All-Purpose Spray
✨ Dish Soap
✨ Glass Cleaner
✨ Floor Wash
✨ Cleansing Scrub
✨ Fabric Softener
To round out our laundry station, we pair Mint’s softener with another local favorite: laundry strips and wool dryer balls. Now our guests can enjoy a sparkling clean stay that smells like pure Vancouver Island freshness—toxic-chemical-free.

Swipe through to see fresh updates at the Garden Cottage and Bunkie. When our family from Quebec and Alberta were visiting Victoria, we put them right to work! Thanks to their help, the new covered deck is finished. Guests can now relax outdoors no matter the season. Next project on the list: installing a wood-burning cast-iron stove for the ultimate cozy vibe!

Louis & Tasha were both very nice hosts. Very attentive and responsive to our needs and requests during our stay. So gracious to have extended our check out time in consideration of our late flight out schedule. The location is fantastic as there’s a park right in front of the property where we’re able to stroll in the morning and play ball. The sports equipment are even thoughtfully provided. The property is spacious and very clean. The cooking and dining amenities were ample and complete. The bedrooms are clean with very comfy beddings. Wide screen TV with Netflix and Youtube. We were also able to use the outdoor grill for our BBQ dinner. Highly recommended place for families. We’ll stay here again if given the chance to visit Victoria in the future! Rainy fall days just got a whole lot cozier at Garden Cottage & Bunkie! 🍂🌧️
A huge, heartfelt shoutout to our incredible Quebec family who came down to help us build a brand-new covered deck. Thanks to their hard work, our short-term rental guests can now sip their morning coffee outside or enjoy the crisp evening air—completely dry, no matter what the weather is doing.

The Hallway Upgrade: Added a crisp slate-blue board and batten wall treatment paired with classic honey-bee artwork for a warm, welcoming hallway.
Breezy Dining Room: Styled a playful, floating plate gallery wall in shades of blue and white to bring a touch of vintage charm and movement to dining moments.
Laundry Room Refresh: Ditched the clunky bifold doors to create an open, functional nook equipped with a built-in folding counter, chevron wood storage, and open design shelving.
