Over the last few weeks, our team has been collecting donations of non-perishable food, hygiene products, and other essential items in support of Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre. While dropping off the donations, some of our team members also had the opportunity to tour FGWRC and learn more about the programs and services they provide to support our community.

Yesterday, team members from our Brokerage and Property Management divisions spent the afternoon volunteering at Linking Hope's new warehouse, helping sort and organize donations. Our Brokerage team proudly helped Linking Hope in securing this new warehouse space, so it was meaningful to see the impact firsthand and contribute to the important work happening there.

Linking Hope connects businesses and surplus goods such as clothing, hygiene items, and furniture, with local grassroots agencies, ensuring these resources to those who need them.

This Sunday, June 21, we recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to celebrate the cultures, languages, and traditions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. Observed on the summer solstice, this day holds deep spiritual and cultural significance, marking a time of renewal, connection, and celebration.

As part of National Indigenous History Month, it's also an opportunity for all of us to learn, reflect, and engage in meaningful ways. MMI Group is using this time to reflect on our progress we made in 2025 as part of our ongoing commitment to reconciliation.

MMI Group Inc. announced it has submitted an application to the City of Winnipeg for Sturgeon Business Park, a proposed industrial development within CentrePort Canada to add new industrial land supply and help attract future investment.

Phase 1 comprises 162 acres, with the full business park planned across approximately 400 acres, all zoned M2. The project carries forward a longstanding family connection to the land, including the legacy of the late Maurice Steele, one of the original landowners. Sturgeon Business Park will increase the supply of development-ready industrial sites in a market where site readiness plays an important role in investment attraction.

The site has potential rail access, with future connectivity expected to be strengthened by the Moray Street extension. Situated within CentrePort Canada, the project benefits from tri-modal transportation access and is intended to strengthen the region's industrial land supply and support continued growth in trade, logistics, manufacturing, and other employment-generating sectors.

"Sturgeon Business Park is about bringing meaningful inventory to the market at a time when development-ready product plays a critical role in attracting investment," said Martin McGarry, CEO and Founder of MMI Group. "When well-located industrial land is available, the region is in a stronger position to compete for major users and capture opportunities that might otherwise go elsewhere."
