My top 5 predictions for Winnipeg over the next 5 years 👀
1. West Broadway becomes one of the areas everyone suddenly wants to be in. More people start looking at walkability, character homes, local restaurants, cafés, and being close to downtown without actually living downtown.
2. The Railside at The Forks development changes the way people think about living downtown. More housing, businesses, and activity around The Forks could make that whole pocket feel very different five years from now.
3. Route 90 somehow gets even more chaotic. Between construction, development, and Winnipeg collectively deciding we all need to be on Kenaston at exactly 4:45 PM… good luck. 😂
4. Patio season becomes something Winnipeggers plan around even more. We already treat the first warm patio day like a civic holiday. Give it five years and reservations will be made the second the snow starts melting.
5. More buyers start choosing established neighbourhoods over automatically looking at the newest suburbs. Areas with mature trees, character homes, walkable local spots, and shorter drives are going to keep getting more attention.
