There are absolutely times when a good real estate agent will advise you not to buy a home.
Maybe the inspection uncovers red flags that are hard to ignore. Maybe the numbers simply don’t make sense. Or maybe, once you look at the bigger picture, it becomes clear that the property just isn’t the right decision for you.
At The Neufeld Group, we’d rather lose a sale than see a client make a purchase they may regret.
Honesty is critical in real estate, and it’s often one of the easiest ways to tell the difference between a great agent and a questionable one.
A good agent won’t simply say “yes” to everything you want to hear. They’ll point out concerns, question the numbers and sometimes tell you that the home you’ve fallen in love with may not be the right one.
Because the goal shouldn’t be to sell you a house at all costs. It should be to help you make a smart, informed decision that truly makes sense for you.
Sometimes that means, “This is the one.”
And sometimes it means, “Let’s keep looking.”
