Exciting developments are on the horizon for Bison Run residents! The City of Winnipeg is set to build the South Winnipeg Recreation Campus (SWRC), a vibrant new community destination designed to support recreation, wellness, learning, and social connection.
Located in the heart of Bison Run, this future amenity will offer convenient access to fitness and recreation spaces, childcare services, community programming, and gathering areas for all ages. The SWRC will further enhance the lifestyle and everyday convenience of living in South Winnipeg, making this growing community an even more desirable place to call home.
Phase 1 construction starts in spring/summer 2026 and will include:
• Gymnasiums
• Multipurpose Rooms
• Indoor Walking/Running Track
• Fitness Area
• Café
• Serving Kitchen
• Childcare Centre
• Outdoor Spray Pad
• An addition to Pembina Trails Collegiate at 50 Frontier Rd. to support vocational programs
• A new aquatic centre (coming at a later date, as part of phase 2 of the design/construction process)
