We’ve recently received our latest Community Wood Recycling impact report and it’s incredible to see what can be achieved when sustainability and social purpose come together.

Over the past year, 114.8 tonnes of wood were rescued from the waste stream through our partnership, creating training, paid work and real opportunities for people facing barriers to employment.

And we’ve seen the impact locally too. Community Wood Recycling built the wonderful outdoor classroom at Balcombe C of E Primary School, right next to our Rectory Gardens development, a space now used daily for learning and creativity.

It’s a reminder that recycling isn’t just about materials. It’s about people, skills, community and giving resources a second life.
