INNOFEST 2026… What a day🎉

Innofest 2026 brought together founders, entrepreneurs and innovators from across the North West for an afternoon (and evening!) to remember at The AMP.

Every year we get so excited for this one, and every year it somehow manages to get even better and this year was no exception.

We’re delighted to announce Kathryn Laverty, Senior Associate, Carson McDowell, will be joining us at Innofest 2026! 🥂

Kathryn is a Senior Associate in the Corporate team at Carson McDowell with over 10 years’ experience in advising founders, start-ups, and high growth SMEs on all legal aspects of their corporate lifecycle from business structuring, shareholder arrangements, and corporate governance to incentivisation, equity funding and exits. Kathryn has a keen interest in the start-up sector in Northern Ireland and has been involved with Catalyst Inc. and several of its programmes during her career. She also sits on Carson McDowell’s Technology and Innovation sector team, a team designed to support entrepreneurs and management teams at every stage of their journey to navigate legal complexity and manage risk to maximise opportunity to build, grow and scale in a changing world.

Barry Carlin is Co-Founder and CEO of HeadDial, a Derry/Londonderry based sports technology company building a Voice AI system that measures, tracks and trains mental performance for elite squads. Each athlete receives personalised performance psychology and Olympic-standard mental imagery audio interventions, while psychology and performance staff gain mental performance data that sits alongside physical performance data for the first ever time. HeadDial is currently used by Ulster Rugby, the RFU, the GAA, Irish Men’s Hockey during the current World Cup, and Sport Ireland Institute.
