Apparently our photos don't do the garden justice.

We've now had two completely separate groups tell us that it was much bigger than they expected.

One said the children and dogs had plenty of space to run around and that it was “huge, much bigger than it looks on the photos”.

Another simply said it was “much bigger than anticipated” and perfect for their large group.

Perhaps that's one of the nicer surprises to have when you arrive for a weekend away.

Plenty of room for 18 people — inside and out.

Nobody has to go home after dinner.
I think this might be one of the best things about getting everyone away together.
Dinner doesn't have to be fancy. The table doesn't have to look perfect. Someone gets another bottle, somebody finds a game and the conversation carries on.
At Diamond House there's room for everyone around the table — and nowhere anyone needs to rush off to afterwards.
Sometimes this is what a really good weekend looks like.

Diamond House was a school long before it became a place for weekends away.

It's not a shiny, identical-everywhere holiday house. It's old, characterful and has gathered plenty of stories over the years.

We love getting everyone together.

But 18 people together every minute of the weekend? Maybe not.

One of the things guests love about Diamond House is having space. Two lounges, the old school hall, the garden and plenty of places to find a quieter corner.

Come together for dinner, disappear with a book, send the children off to play, then meet again later.

We've been hosting for nearly 25 years, so please ask us any questions.

There's plenty of parking, we can help you work out which rooms will suit whom and we'll send you the information you need before you arrive.

You just need to get everyone to agree on a date.

Things that happen when 18 people go away together...

Someone is always making tea.
Someone has forgotten something.
Children disappear into the garden.
The kitchen becomes party HQ.
Nobody agrees what time dinner is.
Everyone somehow appears when cake arrives.

Best of all, there will be fun, laughter and stories told whilst memories are made!
