** DOGS & SOFA'S **
We really do try to be dog friendly. Especially as we know how pooches love the 5 miles of sandy beach here.
We don't have a whole list of rules about where dogs can and can't go in the house, what they can and can't do etc.
We like to think that our guests will be courteous and respect the property and it's enjoyment for the guests that will be staying after them. In all fairness most do.
We don't even charge a good housekeeping/damages bond.
HOWEVER....twice during August the sofa has been left grubby, covered in dog hairs and with dog odour, when guests have checked out......basically needing a full sofa clean.
This is hugely disappointing as we take a lot of pride in the cleanliness of The Bay Filey, Meadow Beach House and I absolutely hate to hand the house over to new guests if I feel that things are not up to scratch.
In a limited changeover window we just don't have the time, or drying time, for a full unscheduled sofa clean 😢
So PLEASE, if your dogs do like their spot on the sofa or bed, please be a considerate guest and respect our property, our housekeepers and our future guests (some of whom don't have dogs and so are more likely to notice pet hairs and smells at their holiday home rental) and BRING THROWS for your dog(s) to use so that the soft furnishings and linens don't get soiled.
