The Property Institute's Wellbeing & Resilience Survey Report has been published. Titled, without irony: A Sector Under Sustained Pressure, But Not Without Cause for Hope.

Some scary stats in it:
89% of property managers experienced some form of abuse within a 12 month period.
45% are leaving or unsure whether they will stay in the profession (this is a profession that is already incredibly difficult to recruit in).

Some encouraging stats:
The compound Wellbeing score is above the lowest, recorded in 2021. Still significantly below the ONS national average.
More industry colleagues have access to Flexible Working arrangements
Individual Pride in their roles is high

Worth a read for those interested in the behind the scenes picture of the individual property managers life and happiness.

Excellent feedback for our colleague Kim Bushe:

I am one of the directors of ### and the instigator of the purchase of the freehold.
We are a group of three blocks on the river in Bitterne manor and the block adjacent to us had already purchased their freehold and recommended to us the services of Napier.
Us and the other block have used their services for the past two years with Kim Bushe being our property manager.
Our block has had quite a few challenges and a few challenging residents shall we say so Kim has had quite a few issues to deal with.
I find Kim very amenable she is not frightened of standing her ground and fight our corner.
Kim communicates via email to residents, we made this communication method as postage was running very high. Our notice board is always up to date.
She has good contacts for signage for example and always knows someone to get quotes although we actively seek our own as in recent decoration for example.
I have picked up the phone to her and she will always answer all call back promptly. She has also done site visits and visited problem tenants.
As soon as we raise an issue she is on it for quotes and subject to us having funds work commences promptly. We recently had a new lift installed so major works and section 20’s had to be raised but all was handled very professionally and quickly.
The service charges are always sent out in a timely fashion and we have a flat that is behind but they are keeping on top of it.
We have an annual meeting on teams to talk through the budget setting and what works we want to do.
They are fully compliant on regulations and are very professional.
