🏡💕 LANDLORDS – ANOTHER IMPORTANT DATE FOR YOUR DIARY! 💕🏡
The new Register Your Rental Property service is coming to the North West from 15 May 2027 as part of the Renters’ Rights reforms. 📅
Landlords in our region will have until 14 August 2027 to register their properties. The scheme will be mandatory for landlords of applicable private rented properties. (GOV.UK)

The Government has confirmed that the database is intended to give landlords a single place to understand their responsibilities, while giving councils better information to identify non-compliance. (GOV.UK)
⚠️ And this isn’t something landlords will be able to ignore.
Once the requirements apply, failing to register can affect a landlord’s ability to obtain possession in most circumstances, and councils will have enforcement powers for landlords who let or advertise properties without the required registration. (GOV.UK)

For now — you don’t need to panic. We are already following the changes closely and reviewing what information and documentation will be required.
