📞 Keep asking questions.
📅 Keep everyone updated.
🚚 And most importantly — keep your removal company informed!

If your estate agent or solicitor tells you to “hold off booking your removals”, ask yourself:

👉 If you leave it too late and your preferred removal company is no longer available, will they be able to help you find another one at short notice?

Unfortunately, we may not always be able to accommodate late confirmations — especially during busy periods.

Our advice? Don’t leave your removal arrangements until the last minute. Get your quote, keep in regular contact and make sure everyone knows where things stand.

Here are a few of our top tips to help make your moving journey as smooth as possible:

🔴 1. Get your removal quote early
Try not to leave arranging your removals until the last few weeks. Ideally, get your quotes and provisional moving date sorted as early as possible. Waiting until the final 2–4 weeks can mean limited availability, rushed decisions and unnecessary pressure.

🔵 2. Secure your preferred moving date
Planning ahead gives you the best chance of getting the date and removal company you want, while giving you plenty of time to organise, declutter, pack and prepare.

🔴 3. Allow time between Exchange & Completion
Where possible, we strongly recommend allowing at least a week between exchange and completion. This can make a huge difference, giving everyone more time to coordinate the move and reducing the risk of last-minute panic or unrealistic timescales.

🔵 4. Don't worry about deposits
We’re sometimes asked why a deposit is required to secure a booking. This is completely normal practice within the removals industry. Your deposit allows us to reserve the vehicles, staff and time specifically for your move.

Good communication is key to a successful move. Keeping in regular contact with your removal company, estate agent and solicitor helps everyone stay informed and can reduce the risk of delays, misunderstandings or unexpected problems.
