Another chance to take part in our Community Quilt Project where we be making a quilt together to celebrate the beauty of nature and community! There will be three more sessions in September; we will gather natural ingredients to dye with, we will dye fabric to make a quilt and lastly, sew words to reflect our thoughts. Learn about dyeing with natural dyes; learn how to hand sew with different stitches.

You will need to attend all 3 sessions.

Tuesday 15th Sept - Nature Walk 10.30 am - 3pm, meet at FGF
Weds 16th Sept - Dyeing session 2pm - 4pm at FGF
Thurs 17th Sept - Sewing session 2pm - 4 pm at FGF

There are still places available on the FGF Community Quilt project next week, where we be making a quilt together to celebrate the beauty of nature and community at Feel Good Factor. There will be 3 sessions in September; we will gather natural ingredients to dye with, we will dye fabric to make a quilt and lastly, sew words to reflect our thoughts. Across three sessions, we’ll collect natural materials for dyeing, dye fabric together, sew words and reflections into our quilt. You will need to attend all three sessions. FREE. The next walk in our Gentle Walking Group is to Thurs 27th Aug - Kirkstall Abbey & canal walk. Nothing too challenging, we'll meet at Dortmund Square at 10am and the walk will last about two hours. You’ll support individuals to access non-medical support by completing holistic assessments, co-creating personal Wellbeing Plans, and linking people to community groups and services that boost mental, physical, and social wellbeing. The role includes regular networking with local providers and community provisions to facilitate a rich Social Prescribing offer to people accessing our service. The role requires knowledge of community resources and working across GP practices, community venues, and occasional option to work from home. You will carry a case load of people and assist people to build resilience, independence, and a better quality of life.
