I’ve beaten the British weather and ticked off another outdoor job for a new customer over in Woodlesford! 🌧️☀️

Just look at the difference! 😍 All finished with 2 coats of Zinsser Allcoat Black Satin, and what a transformation it’s made! 🖤

We had plenty of compliments from passers-by while we were working, and only one “you’ve missed a bit!” joke 😂 Good job us decorators can have a laugh!

Hopefully we’ll get some more work booked in next year for these customers too 🤞

We’ve also started our garage conversion today for another new customer over in Farsley. 🔨🎨

Onwards and upwards for DJD! 💪✨

🎨 Another busy week here at DJD! 🎨

We’ve been really busy this week working for a returning customer in Calverley, transforming a bedroom, bathroom and taking on some external work too — all while battling the typical autumn weather! 🍂🌧️

The bedroom has been transformed using Valspar Trade Lipstick, with a crisp white ceiling and white satinwood woodwork. ❤️

The bathroom has gone from a dark room to a lovely, bright and fresh space using Valspar Trade Candle Light. 🤍✨

We’ve also managed to squeeze in some external work over in Rothwell, getting the first coat onto all the black railings today. Hopefully, with the weather behaving itself, we’ll get these finished tomorrow! 🖌️💪

After a busy weekend of rugby 🏉, it’s been another productive one here at DJD!

Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend, and now we’re looking forward to starting work in Farsley for a new customer, with a garage transformation on the cards! 🎨🏠

Wow! 😍 To say we only went to view this job on the bank holiday, it’s had a total transformation in less than two weeks! 🎨🙌

The kitchen has been finished in Dulux Tranquil Dawn, while the living room has been transformed with Dulux Sweet Embrace, complemented with crisp white ceilings and white satinwood on all the woodwork. 🤍

What a difference adding some colour has made! 🥰 After having a blank canvas since the house was built, these colours have completely brought the spaces to life.

And to top it all off, I also received a lovely little gift from the customer as a thank you. 🎁❤️ It’s always so appreciated and means a lot to know customers are happy with the work.

Another transformation I’m absolutely loving! ❤️

😂🎨 I may have taken the business page content a little too far…

We made a DJD Home Decorating Bingo because we’ve ALL been there. Tester pots, Pinterest inspiration, changing your mind and a permanently boiling kettle 😂☕ And there’s definitely no judgement from us because nobody is worse than the decorator’s wife.

So, introducing the real 👑 The Queen of “Actually… I’ve changed my mind.”
Being married to a decorator apparently means unlimited access to colour charts, tester pots and the right to change your mind approximately 47 times before the brush even touches the wall. 😂

Now I just need to hope she doesn’t divorce me when she sees I’ve actually put her face on the business page…

Maybe if I sweet-talk her with some new PJs and stick a Christmas film on, I can save myself. 🎄😂

And yes… it’s September. She’s already mentally in December. 🤦‍♂️🎅

📌 A little reminder about our cancellation policy 🎨

We completely understand that sometimes plans change and unexpected things happen. We’ll always try to be as understanding and accommodating as we can. ❤️

However, when a job is booked in, those dates are reserved specifically for you and we may have turned other work away to keep that time available. Last-minute cancellations can therefore leave us with several days of work to fill at very short notice.

For this reason, our cancellation policy is included within our invoices and states:
“The 15% deposit is refundable up until two weeks prior to the agreed service date. After that time, the deposit is non-refundable.”
We never like having to keep anyone’s deposit, and this policy isn’t there to be difficult. It simply helps protect our small business when work is cancelled at short notice.
