One of our favourite summer traditions returns on 27 June!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Set along the riverside in the Royal Docks, the Royal Wharf Summer Fête brings together residents, neighbours and visitors for a day of wellness, music, food and family activities, celebrating the spirit of East London waterside living.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now an annual fixture in the community calendar, the fête reflects the character of Royal Wharf itself: open, diverse and shaped by the people who call it home.

For the third and final post in our Chelsea Flower Show-inspired series, we’re looking ahead to , where landscape has been designed for calm and contemplation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Inspired by Japanese gardens, the Secret Garden offers a secluded pocket of greenery within the city. Layered planting, shaded spaces and carefully composed landscaping create a sense of enclosure and stillness, a deliberate counterpoint to the surrounding Zone 1 urban pace.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
From shared green spaces to thoughtfully designed balconies, landscape plays a defining role in how The Capston is experienced.

For part two of our Chelsea Flower Show-inspired series, we’re looking at Wardian London in Canary Wharf, where Biophilic Design is woven into everyday city living and part of the architectural blueprint.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
From verdant wraparound balconies that extend every home’s private outdoor space to oversized communal plant cases and wellness-focused amenities, Wardian creates spaces to pause, breathe and stay connected to nature year-round.

Inspired by the annual Chelsea Flower Show, currently in full bloom, we’re sharing a 3-part series exploring the role landscape has played in shaping some of our own spaces across London, past and present.

Looking back at the temporary marketing pavilion at Goodluck Hope, designed by , where landscaping became part of the story. Palm trees rising through the roofline referenced those once used by the East India Company to guide ships into dock, while the pavilion itself became a creative riverside space for festivals, talks, yoga and community events over the years.

A temporary structure, shaped by a landscape-led arrival experience that left a lasting mark on the peninsula.

At , landscape is treated as architecture. Framed by gardens, pocket parks and tree-lined public spaces, the Nine Elms development brings softness and rhythm to London’s Zone 1.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Designed to connect with the Thames waterfront and the Nine Elms Linear Park, the landscape strategy layers water, planting and public art to create spaces that feel green, social and distinctly urban.

At Tower Green, contemporary homes sit between the River Liffey, Newbridge town centre and the wider landscape of County Kildare. Architecture shaped around light, proportion and flexible living is framed by landscaped surroundings that draw on the character of the Irish countryside.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Cafés, riverside walks and everyday essentials are all within easy reach, while Dublin is just 30 minutes away.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A slower rhythm, without losing connection.

It’s a win for !

Phase 1 has received a 2026 London Award, recognising the transformation of a former industrial waterfront into a new mixed-use neighbourhood for Brentford, in West London.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Presented by the Royal Institute of British Architects, the RIBA Awards are among the UK’s highest honours for architecture, recognising excellence in design and placemaking.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Set across 12 acres beside the River Brent, The Brentford Project reconnects Brentford High Street with the waterfront through new public spaces, homes, cafés, restaurants and riverside streets. Designed by , and , the RIBA jury recognised the project for its “architectural clarity, urban generosity and civic ambition.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It reflects a long-term vision for Brentford: bringing new energy to the town centre while strengthening its connection to the river, its history and the people who live there.
