A proud and well-deserved honour for Ballymore Founder, Chairman and CEO, Sean Mulryan.

Roscommon County Council has conferred the Freedom of Roscommon, the county’s highest civic honour, on Sean, recognising his outstanding contribution to business, community life, and the people of Roscommon.

Presented at a special ceremony in Áras an Chontae, the award celebrates a remarkable journey that began in Roscommon and grew into the creation of Ballymore, which Sean co-founded with his wife, Bernardine, in 1982.

In recognising Sean, Cathaoirleach Cllr. Liam Callaghan described him as someone who represents “the very best of Roscommon: ambition matched with humility, success matched with generosity, and achievement grounded firmly in community.”

From his early days as a bricklayer and stonemason to building one of Europe’s leading development companies, Sean’s career has been defined by vision, determination and an enduring commitment to giving back. His support for sport, education, healthcare and the arts continues to make a lasting impact both locally and beyond.
