Luke and Brian Comer were born in Glenamaddy, Co Galway in 1957 and 1960 respectively. They were two of eight children in their family. They embarked on their journey into the construction industry in Ireland in the 1970’s when they completed apprenticeships in plastering. Their determination, hard work and exceptional skills ensured that they progressed rapidly in their employment. They used thes

e skills along with the wealth of practical “hands-on” construction experience to establish their own plastering business and rapidly developed a countrywide reputation for their high quality plastering. This resulted in the Comers being awarded major contract work on many of Ireland’s largest construction projects in both the public and private sectors. They moved to London in 1984 and entered the UK market where they have been extremely active ever since whilst expanding to Ireland and Europe. Following a great deal of tenacity and hard work, they have created a leading property group with substantial development and investment interests in a number of market sectors, including: luxury residential homes, office, retail, hotels, leisure, retirement homes, equestrian property and farm land. The Group has acquired numerous assets and after gaining planning permission have used their established construction team to develop them. The Group is involved directly from pre-planning all the way through to sales and property management. Luke and Brian have been instrumental in recruiting and shaping a highly skilled and valuable senior management team of designers, architects and construction professionals. The corporate ethos nurtures and encourages both creativity and innovation, which are hallmarks of the Comer brand. The success of the Comer Group in the UK undoubtedly speaks for itself and high quality developments such as Princess Park Manor, Royal Connaught Park and Bradstowe House are a testament to the high standards and work ethic of the brothers. Luke and Brian continue to keep an active role in the development process as well as the day to day running of the organisation. Launch Weekend photo dump... 📸🤩

After months of planning, lots of preparation and a big team effort, we finally saw the doors to the Pankhurst Apartments open!

It was so rewarding to see everything come together - from styling the beautiful show apartment to welcoming so many visitors through the doors, the atmosphere all weekend was amazing ☀️

🤗 A huge thank you to the incredible Newland Park and Hamptons - The Home Experts teams for making it all happen. Everyone got stuck in and it’s fair to say the final result made all the hard work worth it.

And thank you to everyone who came along last weekend - seeing so many people love the apartments as much as we do made the weekend even more special ✨

Guests enjoyed an exclusive first look around our brand new show apartment, along with the spacious terraces and stunning parkland surroundings. It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the new homes and loving them as much as we do.

Pankhurst Apartments - a name with real history behind it

Set within Newland Park, the Pankhurst Apartments form part of a new collection of homes, thoughtfully named to reflect the site’s remarkable history.

In the early 20th century, Newland Park became a place of refuge for suffragettes, including Emmeline Pankhurst, who stayed here while fighting for women’s rights. The estate’s owners, Henry and Agnes Harben, were devoted supporters of the movement, offering safety and care to women recovering after imprisonment.

Here, women were able to regain their strength in the quiet of the countryside before continuing their fight. On one occasion, suffragettes were even hidden within the house to avoid arrest - a powerful reflection of Newland Park’s role in supporting the movement.

Pankhurst played a crucial role in securing women the right to vote, leading a movement that would go on to change the course of British history. Her connection to Newland Park is part of what makes this place so special - not only a place of beauty, but one shaped by resilience and courage.

It is for this reason that the development carries her name, with roads and homes across the Newland Park also named in her honour. Pankhurst Apartments stand as a lasting tribute to the women who found sanctuary here and to the role Newland Park played in their story 🤍
