Case study with a difference……Photographs taken of a completed installation of a permanent sculpture for our client Chelsea College of Arts.

Our architecture department undertook Planning consultancy services obtaining consent for the installation of a sculpture by British Sculptor, Nigel Hall within the Roostein Hopkins Parade Ground in front of the Chelsea College of Arts and now see it inplace looking glorious.

Nigel Hall was elected a Royal Academician in 2003, his works are featured in major global institutions like the Tate and Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Project complete at Jotmans Hall Primary School, South Benfleet by our chartered surveyor Becky Robertson and architect Darin Flower

F&T’s instruction was to carry out design adaptions to reconfigure the WC’s/accessible toilet to create additional facilities compliant with Part M. F&T produced existing and proposed drawing package along with a specification; and dealt with the building control submission acting as Principal Designer under Building Regulations.

New instruction received from Helical to this huge new build commercial property in Bank, London nearing completion. In line with Helical’s wider portfolio, the building will be targeting BREEAM Outstanding, Nabers 5*, WELL Platinum enabled and EPC A.

Combining cutting edge smart building technology with intelligent design, the building will minimise carbon emissions in operation, while providing optimum comfort and personalisation options for occupiers.

Forming 7 floors of circa 20,000 sqft Cat A offices, multiple roof terraces and grand entrance reception. Inclusive of 1no self containing shell and core retail/F&B unit.

F&Ts role to all incoming tenants:

- pre and post condition reports
- risk management
- licence to alter audit
- landlords project manager for tenants fit out
- dispute management

Last week on Thursday 02 July, Becky Robertson of F&T attended Year 10 interview practice at St. Benedicts Catholic School in Colchester. She was asked to do this by a friend who is an English teacher at the school.

This event was organised by the careers team at the school to give the students some experience in a real-life interview situation, talking to professionals, some of which work in the areas that the students were interested in. The school had prepared a set of questions for each professional, and each interviewer had about 5 or 6 students each to interview. The interviewer/professional had to read the students cv and following the interview score them and provide feedback on the students conduct including quality of body language, eye contact, interest in the questions and how they answered.

Becky thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found all the students she interviewed an absolute pleasure to talk to. They were so enthusiastic and some of them had a very clear vision of their future. They were very inspiring and already achieving so much within school and externally in their personal lives. All in all, it was a very rewarding experience.

FDPM role complete by F&T at 98 Shaftesbury Avenue, for the shop fit out of London’s first Mille-Feuille, blending French craftsmanship with Japanese creativity and inspiration by vinyl records.
