Have you booked your move-in slot yet?

We're really looking forward to welcoming you to Trigon, and the first step is making sure you've reserved your Eventbrite slot.

Please note that on Sunday 13 September, a football match near Bramall Lane will cause road closures between 9:30am and 4pm, so check your email and the slots you have been offered, and book on Eventbrite as soon as you can to ensure you get the slot you want.

Moving into student accommodation in Sheffield this weekend?

Sheffield Hallam University is recruiting Accommodation Assistants for this year's Open Days, and it's open to current Trigon residents. You'll be paid for your time on the day, plus there's a paid training session beforehand so you'll know exactly what to expect. Shifts are running on 4th October, 17th October and 22nd November, so keep those dates free if you fancy it. Applications close Sunday 6th September, so make sure yours is in before then.

Getting sorted for the start of uni? Save this post as part of your checklist!

If you find yourself walking home alone after a night out, then Strut Safe is a free, UK-wide phone line built exactly for that moment.

Give them a call and one of their volunteers will stay on the line with you, chatting about whatever you like, until you're safely through your own front door. You don't need to share any personal details to use it, just call and you'll have a friendly voice with you the whole way home.

They're open Thursdays 7pm to 1am, Fridays and Saturdays 7pm to 3am, and Sundays 7pm to 1am, and calls are almost always free as part of your normal phone allowance. It's not an emergency service, so for anything urgent it's always 999 first.
