Gemma at Hidden Gem Cupcakes has made cupcakes for us as a family for years and more recently as a business. The family have had a dreadful summer with a cancer diagnosis. Morning lovely customers & fellow baking friends!

As some of you may know, my husband was diagnosed with adrenal cancer in May. It’s been a pretty tough summer for him and us as a family but we are keeping positive!

In light of this I am arranging a Macmillan Coffee Afternoon at my workplace - Henbrook house - on Friday 25th September (which is also my birthday! 😀🎂)

Here’s my big favour - if anyone is able to make me any cakes or bakes for us to offer for the event, I would be eternally grateful. I can collect around St Neots on the Thursday afternoon or evening. I would be so happy with anything you can offer!

Not every week is full of SOLD boards and success stories, and this one taught me something worth sharing.

It's been a tricky week, some offers haven't quite got over the line yet, and a few buyers just aren't quite ready to make that final decision.

But real value still got added, plenty of it. Helping, advising, negotiating, supporting people through decisions that matter, even on days when there's nothing in it for me.

Because this was never just about chasing transactions. It's about genuinely helping people move, whatever stage they're at.

That’s exactly the kind of estate agent I want to be. 🧑🏻‍🦰🏡

🏦 Interest rates HELD at 3.75% but the vote behind today’s decision is perhaps the more interesting story.

Six members of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee voted to hold, while three voted for an increase to 4%.
So what does that tell us? Inflation is still a concern, and there’s clearly some caution about what happens next.

For the property market, though, another hold brings some welcome stability and a little more certainty for buyers, sellers and homeowners planning their next move. 🏡

Choosing an estate agent shouldn’t just come down to the highest valuation or the lowest fee. 🏡

After 25 years in estate agency, I’ve learned that the things that really make the difference are often much simpler.

Honest advice.
A realistic pricing strategy.
Great marketing.
Proper communication.
Strong negotiation.
And someone who is genuinely invested in getting you the best possible result.

Sometimes the advice I give won’t necessarily be the advice a homeowner wants to hear and I’m comfortable with that 🤷🏻‍♀️

Because my job isn’t to tell you the biggest number to win your instruction. It’s to give you the best advice I can, market your home properly and then work hard to get you moved.
