Formed in Stoke-on-Trent by its Director, Daniel Wallace, Wallace Contracts has been successfully trading in painting and decorating since 1978.

Maintenance, Refurbishment & Dilapidation Contractor with expertise and experience in industries including Construction, Care, Hospitality, Retail, Transport, Warehouse & Distribution. By actively selling his services, Daniel was able to use one job to finance the next, offering his customers high-quality, skilled decorating services. The company’s success can be no doubt attributed to Daniel’s pride in completing work on time and without issue. As a result, Wallace Contracts has gone from its small beginnings to a company that is turning over £2 million a year, and employs more than 50 people. With a steady and loyal client base, Wallace Contracts is regularly appointed the main contractor for large scale projects and now offers a wider range of trades and specialisms. The company is now run by brothers Steve and Sean Wallace, who were appointed as joint Managing Directors in 2009.

Arnold Clark, Northwich, Demolition & Groundworks

We recently completed demolition and groundworks at our client Arnold Clark’s Northwich site, removing an existing valet bay structure and transforming the area with a new tarmac finish.

The works involved the controlled dismantling and removal of the existing steel framed structure, including internal timber studwork and steel cladding. Electrical services were safely isolated and removed prior to demolition.

Following removal of the structure, the area was excavated and prepared, with the sub base rebuilt using compacted MOT Type 1 aggregate. Approximately 40mm of hot laid tarmac was then installed and seamlessly tied into the existing surface.

We also made good areas affected by drainage works, leaving the site with a durable, level and professionally finished surface.

Ladbrokes, Wrexham, Refurbishment

We have completed this Refurbishment project for our client Ladbrokes at their store in Wrexham.

The scope of work included:

✅ Spray application to suspended ceilings across the shop floor and behind the sales counter
✅ Redecoration of all shop floor areas
✅ Redecoration of back of house areas
✅ Replacement of vinyl flooring to staff and customer toilets
✅ Replacement of carpet tiles to the staff room
✅ Replacement of kitchen sink unit and worktop
✅ New hand dryer installed in the customer toilet by our electrician

A complete refresh covering decoration, flooring, joinery and electrical works, helping maintain a clean, professional and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.

Flannels, Sunderland, Painting & Decorating

We recently completed an internal decoration project for our client Flannels at their store in Sunderland.

The works focused on refreshing the sales area, helping to maintain a clean, modern and well presented environment for customers and staff.

The project was completed with careful preparation and attention to detail, ensuring a high quality finish throughout while minimising disruption to the store’s day to day operations.

JD Wetherspoon, The Wheatsheaf, Repairs & Maintenance

We have recently completed signage area refurbishment works for our client JD Wetherspoon at The Wheatsheaf in Stoke-on-Trent

The works involved removing the existing sub-fascias and framework before supplying and installing new framework and marine plywood sub-fascias.

The new plywood was then primed, undercoated and gloss finished to provide a durable and high-quality finish.

Existing lighting was safely disconnected and removed during the works, before being reinstalled and reconnected once the refurbishment was complete.

A mobile scaffold tower was also supplied to provide safe access for the high-level works.

Cera Care, Stafford, Refurbishment

We have successfully completed this refurbishment project for our client, Cera Care, at their office in Stafford.

The scope of work included:

✅ Removal of redundant fire suppression, electrical and CCTV services
✅ Air conditioning servicing throughout
✅ Raised floor repairs and replacement flooring
✅ Removal of reception furniture and partition walls
✅ Ceiling tile replacement and joinery repairs
✅ Kitchen and blind repairs
✅ New carpet tiles to the former server room
✅ Commercial cleaning of approximately 680m² of flooring
✅ Full preparation, making good and redecoration

The completed works have refreshed and improved the working environment, delivering a clean, functional and professionally finished office space for Cera Care.

Ladbrokes, Liverpool, Refurbishment

We have completed this refurbishment project for our client Ladbrokes at their store on Lord Street in Liverpool.

We completed refurbishment works across the customer toilets, including removal and replacement of existing flooring with new black anti-slip vinyl and PVC skirting trims.

Ceilings, architraves and door frames were prepared and redecorated to provide a fresh, clean and durable finish.

Coral, Abbey Hulton, Refurbishment

We have recently completed refurbishment works for our client Coral at their Leek Road, Abbey Hulton premises.

The works included the removal and replacement of existing vinyl flooring within the kitchenette and staff toilets, with new black anti-slip vinyl flooring installed to provide a durable and practical finish.

We also carried out plasterboard repairs and prepared and redecorated the walls, ceilings and woodwork, applying new emulsion and gloss finishes throughout.

We’re pleased to have completed internal decoration works for our client, JD Wetherspoon, at the Postal Order in Blackburn.

The project included the redecoration of the corridors and stairwells, refreshing key areas throughout the venue.
