During an inspection today, There were noticeable signs of damp in the entrance hall, E.G rust on the skirting nail heads and stains on the pipework

The property is built on a suspended slab. The current owners had the external walls rendered. The problem is they have rendered over the vents on the side,

They've also had a rear extension and not reinstated the rear vents, therefore only leaving the vents at the front.

This lets the cold air in but it can't escape, It then meets the warmth from the house causing condensation.

Sounds like a big problem but it's not!

✅ We will be truthful about what we find on an inspection. Not everything has to be so damning- the property we did last week had a boiler flue too close to a vent. This would lead to a boiler being condemned but it's actually a really easy fix and when explained to both parties- they were happy to continue.

✅ After an inspection has been sent, we will sit down and explain our findings. Whether there be faults or potentials you will know and understand these.
