My good buddy and on screen wife of a fair few years from outrageous Fortune was the MC of choice for Harcourts NZ conference. She is the best fun, the most prepared, the most pro you could want as an MC. People came up and told me during the conference, I replied “know, she’s perfect in every way, I should know! If you’re looking for a top class MC, you could do yourself a favour and track her down.

Sunday date night with the young fella at what an incredible night out! The band were exceptional, it would almost be cliched to say it was a trip down memory lane because the whole musicality, songs and performance was straight out of “now” thank you lads for an exceptional night. .cortese

A cracker of a week, makes me appreciate work, friends and family. Got to speak at at their auction masterclasses, what a room, full of experienced good people who are at the top the game, then onto Wellington for awards night with the band. Early home to coach the young man’s rugby team in their first game of the season, work/life balance with my footy team (that number if getting close!!) and then calling end of year awards in both Auckland and Wellington. I got@to meet@some exceptional people this week, and had fun doing it.

What a few days at REINZ going head-to-head with great mates and some of the very best auctioneers in New Zealand. The standard just keeps getting higher, so I’m genuinely stoked to have made the Premier Final again. It’s never easy to get there, and it’s something I don’t take for granted.

A few years back, I watched my good mate Andrew North take out the Australasian title and it lit a fuse in my mind. Last year, seeing Mark McGoldrick lift the trophy reinforced just how elite this level is.

This year, I’ve got the privilege of heading to Melbourne to represent New Zealand alongside three outstanding auctioneers, taking on the best Australia has to offer.

What a journey. What a ride can’t wait.
