Speaking at the NAI Harcourts New Zealand conference today, and I had the not-so-easy job of following one of the best storytellers in the business — my mate of 21 years, the incomparable Jason Gunn.

This man knows how to run an Auction campaign. Been calling for him for years and he pretty@much sells them all. Today was no exception in Browns Bay. 3 bidders, opening bid $1m on market at $1.6m sold at $1,625m. I loved the moment when the under bidder came and thanked him, me and congratulated the winner. Spent my Friday in a brilliant part of the country. Nelson, with the Harcourts Platinum Blue team talking all things auctions with some very sharp agents. Kees hadn’t been to the SI before so we had a boys trip and he told me all about the Italian Heritage there. Ended the evening raising a lot of money for the Big Brother Big Sister down there.
