The Matariki star cluster marks the Māori New Year and is visible from late June through to mid-July. Our skies are a little too cloudy at the moment to see the stars, but here's an image to help you spot them if we get a clear night over the coming week. The best time is 45 to 30 minutes before sunrise and look left to the iron pot ✨

It was a privilege to be part of the official opening of the new basketball hoops at Frimley School today.

I had the honour of opening the teachers vs senior students basketball game, and what a thriller it turned out to be! The enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship on display made for a fantastic afternoon.

Thank you to the Frimley School community for the warm welcome. It was wonderful to see students and staff enjoying these fantastic new facilities, and I'm proud to have played a small part in helping make it happen.
