⭐⭐The cheapest option isn't always the cheapest in the end.⭐⭐
Today we completed a clean on a home that had already been "professionally cleaned."
It wasn't the obvious things that stood out—it was the little details. Clean bin liners had been fitted, but the inside of the rubbish bins hadn't been cleaned. Cutlery trays had been wiped, but not removed, leaving the drawers underneath dirty. Shower drains hadn't been cleaned.
Even more concerning was the amount of chemical residue left throughout the home. The products had clearly not been removed properly, requiring multiple attempts to remove them. In some areas, the residue had been left on so heavily that it had started to affect the paint finish.
What should have been a 5–6 hour clean turned into almost 15 hours of work to bring the home up to the standard the new owners deserved.
Unfortunately, we see this far too often. A cheap price can end up costing far more when the job has to be done a second time, and by then the original cleaner is often nowhere to be found.
Before choosing a cleaning company, take a few minutes to do your homework.
✔️ Read their Google reviews.
✔️ Look for genuine before-and-after photos of their own work.
✔️ Check they're fully insured.
✔️ Make sure they can provide a proper invoice.
✔️ Choose a business that stands behind its work if something needs attention afterwards.
A business advertising only under a personal name, hiding behind anonymous profiles, or offering prices that seem far below everyone else doesn't automatically mean they're not legitimate—but it should encourage you to ask a few more questions before booking.
Quality, reliability and accountability will always save you money in the long run.
