Our Managing Director's latest update paints a "tale of two halves" for construction right now, as Darrell puts it: "Construction has always been an industry built on confidence."

While builders south of Nelson are flat out with strong demand, here in the North things have slowed amid economic uncertainty and the upcoming election.

Despite the quieter pace, the Trigg team's staying busy chasing new proposals, delivering a nationwide security upgrade for MSD through our New Zealand Construction Alliance partnership, and gearing up for an exciting new NZCA tie-up with Tier 1 firm Icon Construction.

A strong community vision brought the Ruakākā Rec Centre to life.

Working closely with the dedicated locals behind the project, the Trigg team used an Early Contractor Involvement approach to make the most of a fixed budget and create a flexible, purpose-built space.

Since opening, the centre has become a thriving local hub for fitness, classes, meetings and events, with plans for Stage 2 already underway.

The Stand Tū Māia Children’s Village in Whangārei was created as a place where tamariki and whānau can heal, reconnect and build positive futures together.

Some buildings are designed to stand still. This one was designed to move.

Constructed on floating pontoons at Whangārei Harbourside, the Floating Marina Office was then carefully towed 75 nautical miles to its new home at Kennedy Point Marina on Waiheke Island.

The project brought together skilled local contractors, specialist craftsmanship and innovative thinking to create a new community hub for boaties, visitors and water activities.

A unique Northland-built project that earned a Gold Award and Best Overall Project $3M - $10M at the 2024 NZ Commercial Project Awards
