What a journey this has been.

A few years ago, I completed my Real Estate Licence, full of excitement, ambition, and just as much fear. Taking that leap from the security of my previous career into real estate felt like standing on the edge of a ledge, knowing I needed to jump but wondering if I was brave enough to do it!

Since then, there have been plenty of moments where I've questioned myself. Long days, early mornings, missed family events, knock-backs, deals that didn't come together, and wondering whether all the hard work was really worth it.

As a wife and a mother to three incredible children—who are my absolute world—balancing family life with building a real estate career hasn't always been easy. There have been sacrifices along the way, and at times the guilt of not being everywhere and everything for everyone has been real.

But moments like this remind me why I started.

To be recognised as Bayleys Queenstown Rookie of the Year is an honour that I am incredibly proud of. Not because of the award itself, but because of what it represents: perseverance, growth, resilience, and having the courage to back yourself even when the outcome is uncertain.

This award belongs not only to me, but also to my family, friends, clients, and colleagues who have supported, encouraged, and believed in me throughout this journey. Thank you to everyone who trusted me to help them with one of life's biggest decisions.

To anyone standing on the edge of their own "ledge" right now, wondering whether to take the leap—do it. It won't always be easy, but it might just be worth it.

First home buyers and owner-occupiers were the main active buyer groups in the current market, with some continued enquiry from purpose investors.
Attendance at open homes was steady; as stock levels were high, being north of 400 current listings, so buyers had plenty of choice which does create some gaps between vendor’s expectations and buyer engagement.
