Why do architectural renderings need people?

People give context to architecture. They show how a room might be used, where someone pauses during the day, how light becomes part of a morning routine, or how a dining table turns into a place for gathering.

In many ways, they act as a bridge between the viewer and the project, we begin to imagine ourselves inside it.

That idea feels especially relevant for this Australian home, designed by an architect for his own family. A project shaped around real life naturally invites stories about the people who might inhabit it.

Because sometimes the fastest way to understand a space is to see someone living in it.

A hotel room. Calm, refined, elegant.

Sometimes you want a room that's simply a place to rest — pleasant, but not demanding your attention. Because the real time happens outside. In the adventure, the work, the city.

With this interior 3D visualization, we captured those quiet in-between frames of that kind of stay. The moment you arrive after a long day of meetings. The room is being turned over. Getting ready, taking a call, half your mind already elsewhere.

That's exactly the kind of space we wanted to show — one that knows its place in the story.

For the final post in the Lake Park series, we focus on the building and the view from above.

Aerial 3D visualization shows how the architecture becomes part of the landscape. The river's soft curve, dense forest, kayaks on the water, and sky reflected on the surface all work together to reveal the atmosphere of the place.

And then, one small detail completes the frame — the bird in the foreground. It adds movement and lightness, turning the image into a quiet cinematic moment.

Lake Park | Part 3

This chapter of the project explores a quieter cultural layer — shaped by climate and everyday rituals. Winter bathing and open-air sauna are rooted in the landscape of Southern Ukraine, where seasonality becomes a physical experience.

The contrast between heat and cold sharpens perception, bringing attention to breath, body, and environment.

Architecture frames this moment — creating a simple, direct connection between human presence and the winter landscape.

Lake Park | Part 2

This project was shaped through a close dialogue between architecture and visual storytelling.

VKA Architects led the project on the architectural side — from context research and spatial planning to technical drawings and its path toward realization. Their goal was to create a space deeply rooted in the Dnipro region of Ukraine, ensuring an active, meaningful environment throughout every season.

At CGIKite, our focus was to translate this atmosphere into a 3D Visualization. We aimed to capture the authentic spirit of Southern Ukraine through artistic direction and cultural research — reflecting its characteristic greenery, the specific palette of its landscapes, and the unique quality of its air. Our frames explore the warmth, the local rituals, and the particular way people gather, celebrate, and inhabit this space.

*Interesting fact: For this scene, we chose the transition from winter to spring through the Maslenitsa ritual — the traditional burning of the effigy, a symbolic farewell to winter and a welcome to warmth, light, and new beginnings.

Lake Park | Part 1

We’re excited to share our new collaboration with VKA architecture studio on the visualization of their spa complex project at Lake Park, Samar.

The building comprises two main volumes: a private VIP sauna and a shared public spa. Its design draws from Ukrainian vernacular — natural wooden shingles wrap the facades and rise into four dome-like roofs. At the same time, glass elements create a soft dematerialization effect that lets the building blend into the surrounding forest.

Our goal was to show how the existing area is enhanced with new elements and how a public space emerges, connecting the interiors with the landscape. Capturing different seasons was key, showing how the place stays lively and inviting even in winter. Because the concept is so rich, we created cinematic, atmospheric frames to reveal the project from multiple angles.

And in the next posts, we’ll continue exploring new viewpoints and interesting details.

These elements anchor the project in a real urban environment, adding scale, movement, and a sense of place.

Another part of the project is shown at evening time, shifting the focus from form to light. As daylight fades, artificial lighting begins to trace the curves of the facade, revealing the geometry differently.

The building starts to read through illumination — softer, more atmospheric, but still centered on the flow of its form.

Minimalism drives the scene. The sky takes up most of the frame, leaving only a fragment of the building visible — enough to focus attention on its fluid, Zaha Hadid–like geometry.

Light and a few human figures are introduced only to define scale and enhance the form. With everything else removed, the composition directs full attention to the architecture and how it moves.
