Lisa Keefe, Broker Associate, JLA Realty
Lisa is a proud Texas gal with roots that run as deep as the Brazos River. Raised with a healthy dose of faith, family values, and a can-do spirit, she learned early on that hard work, integrity, and a dash of entrepreneurial grit are the keys to success. Her ancestors were among the first to settle west of the Brazos, and her grandparents were ambitious g
o-getters whose example Lisa eagerly soaked up. As the daughter of a career Army officer, Lisa grew up as an Army brat, experiencing the rich culture of American and European communities wherever her dad was stationed. That sense of adventure carried into her adult life when she married her partner-in-crime, Robert, in 1989—two Army brats tying the knot and starting their own chapter. With Robert serving in the infantry and their daughter now a Captain in the US Army Reserves, the family’s military tradition is alive and thriving. Lisa’s professional journey started with a BBA in Marketing from Sam Houston State University, followed by master’s studies in Health Services Administration at the University of Kansas. She spent over 20 years shaking things up in healthcare marketing before returning to her Texas roots in 2013. Back home near Houston, she dove into the real estate world, inspired by her father’s investment property expertise. Lisa has a passion for service, exemplified in her committee work with Texas REALTORS® and the Greater Metro West Association of REALTORS®. She is a Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program graduate and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist. She's involved in the Evergreen, Prime Time and Worship Arts ministries at North Side Baptist Church, serves as a 4-H horse project leader in Parker County, and volunteers as a certified therapeutic riding instructor at Stars and Strides Stables. Today, Lisa and Robert manage their own rental properties and have lovingly restored a century-old farmhouse that’s been in her family for generations. When she’s not navigating real estate deals or managing her properties, Lisa loves soaking up Texas sunsets, traveling, showing horses, playing with her labrador retrievers, and passing on her rich heritage and life lessons to her kids and grandkids.
