It’s that normal time of year where we start thinking about how we can give to others more so because of the holidays coming up. However, this year with the government shut downs, and other hardships, I think locally we are definitely seeing more need for the basics. The Anne Arundel County Food bank is in need of our help. By donating to them, we are helping our local families. I would love to help you help them. If you have a donation, just give me a call or a text and I will be happy to pick it up from your front porch, your driveway or wherever you would like to leave it. What they are looking for are peanut butter and jelly in plastic jars, 1 pound bags or boxes of rice, 1 pound bags of dry beans (pinto, black, lentils), healthy snacks, like breakfast bars, dried fruits, nuts, baby formula, and baby food, nutritional shakes, and supplements like Ensure or Boost. As always, canned soups and stews, canned fruits and vegetables, canned fish, canned chicken, pasta (whole grain), shelf, stapled milk, and plant-based milks, whole grain, hot and cold cereal, and cooking oils and spices. Please try to do as many plastic containers as possible, select cans that are less than 28 ounces and other items at a pound or less. Please be careful and make sure that the used buy or sell by dates have not expired. Lastly, diapers (diapers - adults and baby - all sizes) are needed, as well as baby wipes, and personal hygiene products. Again just text me or call me at 443–790–4701 or respond to this Facebook post and I will pick them up from you. Thank you in advance for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
