I am extremely thankful to all those who attended the presentation and unveiling of our newest initiative, the “Parcel to Portfolio” program. It represents the next evolution of our work to transform vacant, abandoned, and underutilized properties into productive assets that drive housing development, economic mobility, and neighborhood revitalization. “Parcel to Portfolio” is designed to equip participants with the tools, partnerships, and pathways necessary to move from acquiring a single lot to building a sustainable real estate portfolio—right here in Augusta. All while focusing on skills development leading to generational wealth, as each member of the family participates in the accumulation of knowledge and work of implementation. Special thank you to Liz Owens for the wonderful piece on WRDW.

Augusta’s landbank is sitting on more than 250 vacant parcels, properties often left behind after deaths, code violations and tax sales.
