** Why You Don’t See All My Closings on Facebook **
Every now and then, someone asks me a version of this question:
** “Anne, are you still working in real estate? I don’t see you posting many closings.” **
The answer is ** YES! Absolutely. **
I am still actively helping buyers and sellers throughout the Augusta area and across Georgia and South Carolina.
You just won’t see every transaction on Facebook.
And there is a reason for that.
** My clients’ privacy matters to me. **
Buying or selling a home is a major financial decision, but it can also be a very personal one. There may be much more behind a move than what anyone sees from the outside.
Someone may be relocating for work. A family may be selling an inherited property. A homeowner may be downsizing after many years in the same home. There may be financial or family circumstances involved. Or someone may simply prefer that their business remain private.
They don’t owe anyone an explanation.
When clients want to share their good news and celebrate publicly, I’m happy to celebrate with them! But I don’t automatically turn every closing into a social media post.
** That doesn’t mean the work isn’t happening. **
Behind the scenes, I’m helping sellers prepare and position their homes for the market. I’m helping buyers evaluate properties and navigate inspections, appraisals and financing. I’m negotiating contracts, solving problems, answering questions, coordinating details and sometimes working through issues most people will never know happened.
A SOLD graphic tells you that a house closed.
It doesn’t tell you what it took to get there.
That is also why you’ll see me spend more time sharing information about our local real estate market, pricing, home preparation, inspections, financing, relocation and the questions I hear from homeowners, buyers and sellers.
I would rather give you information that can help you make a better real estate decision than fill your newsfeed with proof that I’m working.
**So yes, I’m still here. I’m still working. And your referrals are always welcome.**
If someone in your family, a friend, neighbor, co-worker or acquaintance mentions that they are thinking about buying or selling a home, I would be grateful if you passed my name along.
You don’t have to know whether they are ready to move next week or next year. I’m happy to start with a conversation, answer their questions and help them figure out their next step.
One of the greatest compliments I can receive is still:
** “Anne helped me. You should call her.” **
I never take that recommendation lightly. When you refer someone to me, you are trusting me with someone who matters to you. I will do my best to take good care of them.
So if you don't see me posting a steady stream of closing table pictures and SOLD announcements, don't assume there isn't anything happening.
** There are homes being sold. There are buyers getting keys. There are sellers moving forward. **
I just believe many of those stories belong to my clients, not my Facebook feed.
And I’m perfectly comfortable letting the work, the relationships and the referrals speak for themselves.
