Heads up, today is the day! Gardiner Police Officers will be completing our leg of the Torch Run for Special Olympics! Officers will begin at the Gardiner/Richmond line on Brunswick Avenue around 0815AM. They will run the length of Brunswick Avenue, down Church Street, and onto Maine Avenue. They will finish their nearly 8-mile trek at the Farmingdale Fire Station, where they will pass the torch to the next group of runners.

This should not impede traffic but can slow things down. Please be cautious as you are passing through this morning and we welcome cheers as you pass by!

Visiting the Gardens June 12–15? Keep an eye out for artists painting and sketching among the gardens, trails, and waterfront views during our annual Plein Air Days. 🌿🎨

“Plein air” is the art of creating outdoors, inspired directly by the natural world around you. As you wander the Gardens on these days, you’ll have the chance to watch nature inspire art in real time. The shifting light through the trees and vibrant blooms in the landscape are translated to paper and canvas.

This beloved annual tradition adds an extra layer of creativity and wonder to the visitor experience, offering a glimpse into how artists see and interpret the beauty of the Gardens.
