Apparently my weird little COVID island investment has officially gone international. 😂

A buddy sent me this Times of India article about the island my friends and I bought for around
$20K near Crystal River, Florida.

What started as “maybe people will camp here” has somehow turned into conversations about a
possible university research base.
Real estate is weird.

What if work-life balance is the wrong goal?

Maybe the problem is that we keep forcing life into categories that don’t really exist.

There will always be another email, another deal to chase, another thing you could be doing. But if you’re building a business to create a better life for your family, at some point you have to remember who you’re building it for.

Real estate, business, ambition, it all matters. But so does being present for the people who make the work worth doing in the first place.

✈️ Austin is getting another upgrade and this one could have an impact beyond the airport!

Southwest is bringing one of its first passenger lounges to Austin, with the new lounge expected to open next year. It’s another sign that Austin continues to attract investment, travelers and major amenities.

And when a city becomes more convenient and connected, real estate tends to be part of that conversation. Better travel options and amenities can make a market even more attractive to buyers, businesses and people relocating to Austin.

The bigger question: Does Austin need more premium travel options, or is this just another perk?

Feeling behind doesn’t always mean you’re behind.

Ambition is a great thing, but if you’re constantly comparing your progress to someone else’s timeline, it can turn into self-punishment.

Real estate is a perfect example. There are seasons to buy, sell, build, grow, pause, and simply take care of what’s already in front of you. Not every season needs to look like your biggest one.

The goal isn’t to do everything at once. It’s to recognize what season you’re in and make the most of it.
