Everyone talks about the mountain views, cooler summers, and slower pace of life in Durango…and trust me, they're all worth it.

What nobody mentions? The bugs.

Apparently, driving through some of the most beautiful scenery in Colorado also means your windshield takes a beating. At this point, stopping at Needles for a quick windshield cleanup has officially become part of my routine.

A small price to pay for a commute that includes mountain views instead of traffic.

Moving from the Hill Country to the High Country has certainly come with a few surprises, but this one still makes me laugh.
