🐾 March 13 is National K9 Veterans Day, and these numbers deserve to be seen.
During the Vietnam War alone, military working dogs are estimated to have saved over 10,000 human lives.
One trained K9 cuts 600–1,000 man-hours per year for their unit.
Their nose is roughly 100,000x more sensitive than ours, making them one of the most effective tools in any handler's arsenal.
As a former law enforcement officer, I've seen firsthand what these dogs mean to the people who work alongside them. They don't ask for recognition. They just show up, every single time.

Friday night in Derry/Londonderry? Here’s how I’d spend it. 🍺🎶

Start the night at 603 Brewing Co. in Londonderry,great food, great pints, and if you’re an Untappd user, definitely check in.
While you’re there, look for the Pipes & Drums Irish Lager, a limited-time brew and a fundraiser for the NH Pipes & Drums band. Full disclosure: I play in the band, so I may be a little biased. 😄

Then head over to Tupelo Music Hall in Derry for live music to close out the night. One of the best small venues in southern NH. They regularly have music and comedy shows.
This is the kind of stuff that makes living in this area so great — local breweries, small venues and great food.
