Our minds are like a sponge, we tend to soak up everything around us, the good, the bad and the ugly. Sometimes the worry thoughts will run away with us and before we know it our beautiful field has sprouted way too many weeds. Worrying is like watching the weeds take over your garden. The more worrying you do the more they grow and multiply. Plant at least one happy positive thought each and every day and watch that thought quickly start to squeeze out the worrying weeds that have multiplied. Cultivate your garden, guard, protect it and watch it flourish.

After being off the market for 45 days, we hit an unexpected hurdle just 3 days before closing. But giving up wasn’t an option! We called in a new lender, and in just 11 days, we were at the closing table.

Sometimes without warning or clarification the journey you are on just seems to pause and you find your path suddenly is calling you in a different direction. It just may not have been the right road at the right time. Redirection happens more than we know and remember, we didn’t fail at something, it wasn’t the right fit at the moment. Don’t beat yourself up about it, trust the process and know that what truly is right for you will always be with you. Doors close all the time becuase something bigger, better and more suited to you is knocking at that door trying to get in. You may not understand it at the moment but eventually it will make sense. Be patient and be open to adventures heading your way.

As a new day dawns it brings with it a whole new light on our day. No matter what happened yesterday today is a fresh new start. Yesterday had its moment so let today have its. Yesterday may not have been picture perfect however it reminds us that life isn’t always what we had planned , that every day is a work in progress. Today we will learn from our past days and put some of those lessons into play. Life is a journey and not meant to be perfect, it is meant to be loved, learned and lived. Take each day as it comes, be the best you can be and don‘t worry about being perfect, you are perfect being you.

The not so great things tend to stick in our minds for way too long and we tend to give them way too much energy, time and focus. Don’t give them any more attention than they deserve. Spend more time conjuring up the fun times, the times that put a smile on your face and warming your heart. Those are the blessings in life that make the difference each and every day. Once we make this a habit we will find the not so great days seem to fade out of our daily thinking and we walk around with happiness in our hearts, mind and life. Happiness always make for a better, more productive day.

We have so many dates floating around in our heads on a daily bases. All of them have some sort of meaning and over time we can forget what that meaning was. One thing we never pay attention to is the dash, the dash between the numbers. That dash can hold a story within its self. Fill that dash up with all the things that life has planned for you. Sometimes what goes into that dash are more important than the date in front of it and behind it. It can change the mood of the day and leave a very lasting memory. Dashes are good, not just a place holder, take notice and give it a second look.
