As we continue making progress on this special amenity, designed to highlight its natural surroundings, it was great to share a first look at what’s taking shape.

The Crest is designed to be a place for community, connection, recharging and wellness, and we’re excited to see it become part of everyday life at Channel Pointe.

Today, our CEO, Michelle Freeman, had the opportunity to speak with the Leadership Delaware, Inc. Class of 2026 at Legislative Hall in Dover.

Leadership Delaware brings together emerging and established leaders from across the state for an intensive year of learning, connection and a deeper understanding of the people, organizations and issues shaping Delaware’s future.

We’re proud to see Michelle share her perspective and experiences with this year’s class and continue the conversations that help strengthen leadership across our state.

One of our favorite things about Bayside is seeing how traditions have grown along with the community.

The annual summer Bayside Challenge is a great example. Members build their own boats and try to make it across Sun Ridge Pool, with neighbors cheering them on.

When we build a community, we create the places and opportunities for people to come together. Over time, we get to watch residents make those places their own and traditions begin to grow.

We’ve seen it happen in each of our communities, and the Bayside Challenge is one of our favorites!

Our team enjoyed participating in the Christmas in July Golf Tournament benefiting Schellville—a destination that has become a favorite for families throughout Sussex County.

At The Institute, lifelong learning extends beyond the community clubhouse. It comes to life through experiences that connect people with the places, stories, and traditions that make our region unique.

Our recent visit to Brittingham Farms offered homeowners and members the opportunity to learn from a fourth-generation family farm, explore Delaware's largest lavender field, and experience local agriculture through a private, hands-on tour.

These shared experiences are at the heart of what The Institute was created to do—enrich lives, inspire curiosity, and foster meaningful connections throughout every stage of life.
