Happy Friday!

The Central Ohio market stayed active April 7-13th, and two numbers really stood out to me:

1,208 New Listings hit the market and
741 homes went into contract

What does that tell us?
We’re continuing to see fresh inventory come in, but buyers are still moving quickly when the right home hits.

So, if you’ve been wondering:
“Is now a good time to list?”
“Am I going to be competing with a lot of buyers?”

This one was a special journey, helping my client navigate buying a home that was being sold For Sale by Owner. This February, I’m sharing moments that helped shape freedom and equality in America. On this last week we talk about the Voting Rights Act (1965).

In 1965, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law, prohibiting discriminatory practices that had long prevented Black Americans from exercising their right to vote.

This legislation was the result of years of activism, protest, and sacrifice, including the Selma to Montgomery marches. The Act transformed American democracy by protecting voting rights and expanding political participation for millions.

The Voting Rights Act stands as a powerful reminder that freedom must be protected, defended, and renewed.

This February, I’m sharing moments that helped shape freedom and equality in America. This week we have the Brown v. Board of Education (1954).

In 1954, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Brown v. Board of Education that racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional.

This landmark decision overturned the “separate but equal” doctrine and marked a major legal victory in the fight for civil rights. While integration did not happen overnight, the ruling laid critical groundwork for future progress and challenged deeply rooted systems of inequality.

Brown v. Board of Education reminds us that justice in the courts can help open doors to opportunity and equity.
